Funerals

It is a privilege to host the funeral services of members of our congregation and of the local community. In many instances the Vicar or parishioners have been involved in the pastoral care of the dying person and welcome the opportunity to arrange a suitable farewell for the family.

Churches
Funerals can be held at St Mary's or St Peter's. All funerals will be conducted by the Vicar, another Anglican Priest or trained lay person arranged by the Vicar. The church buildings are not available for hire without the Parish staff being involved.

Music

The Parish has good organists who can provide music for the occasion and sound systems to play CD music.

Catering

A Parish catering team can provide refreshments if required in either church hall. Numbers are advised in advance through the Funeral Director or Vicar.

Charges

The cost of a funeral in the Parish is $345. This covers the building and the staff. The organist is $85. Catering is $9.20 per person
